THE TEAM

Youlian Avramov
Creative Director

Raised in Bulgaria, Eastern Europe, Youlian first mastered the propaganda and then he jumped the Iron Curtain to explore the world. He lived in Africa for 3 years, traveled around Europe, and in 1997 settled in New York.

His advertising career started almost 20 years ago, when he first worked on Astra Zeneca, KFC and Coca Cola, brands that had just arrived in post-communist Eastern Europe. Later in New York he worked as art director and graphic designer for JWT, Deutsch and Keyes Martin. He also served as advertising director for InfoUSA. Bitten by the entrepreneurial bug, he founded East House Creative.

He has won multiple advertising awards.

Brand Experience: Astra Zeneca, Avon, Coca Cola, Coldwell Banker, GE Healthcare, Johnson & Johnson, McGraw-Hill, NKF, Caesars Atlantic City, Chestnut Investment, and more.

Silvia Dimitrova
Senior Graphic Designer

Silvia has a degree in education, but her dreams led her to design and creative pursuits. Prior to coming to the US, she ran her own women’s apparel design studio in Bulgaria’s capitol city, Sofia. Her fashion design experience developed into an award-winning graphic design career. She’s worked at The National Kidney Foundation, CBK Group Advertising, Montage Media and InfoUSA.

Silvia brings over 10 years of graphic design and creative experience working with publishing, financial, pharmaceutical and non-profit clients. She knows what clients need, and the fastest, most efficient way to deliver it. Her extensive design experience includes collateral materials, direct mail, reference and educational literature.

Brand Experience: GlaxoSmithKline, National Kidney Foundation, Spencer Savings Bank, Wyeth, Watson Nephrology, Amgen, GE Healthcare, McGraw-Hill, Coldwell Banker, and more.

Richard Lewis
Marketing Director

Richard Lewis (RL) is an advertising and marketing strategist, author, teacher and speaker. And he says this all with a straight face.

RL is probably best known for his reign as Absolut Worldwide Account Director at TBWA\Chiat\Day. There he was responsible for strategy, marketing, and creative, globally, for Absolut vodka. He led the brand’s growth and innovative marketing to become the most famous, successful and profitable international brand in the entire spirits category.

RL is the author of the New York Times best seller ABSOLUT BOOK. It details the brand’s enormous growth and how it changed the way beverage alcohol and other image-driven products are marketed. The book is in its 13th printing and was sequeled by ABSOLUT SEQUEL in 2005.

RL is the winner of a number of industry awards including a Grand Effie from the American Marketing Association; Stephen E. Kelly for single best magazine campaign (twice); Andy, Clio, and others.

RL teaches at New York University, a marketing course, which he created: Branding: People, Places & Things. RL earned an MBA Degree in Marketing from New York University. He lives in Dobbs Ferry, New York with his wife Isabel and their three children: Ariane Kansas, Amanda Chicago, and Sam Wyoming.

RL likes people, is a happy person, and isn’t embarrassed about either.

Darko Stanicic
Art Director/Graphic Designer

A 15-year veteran of the advertising and publishing worlds, Darko has helped create and design more than 20 separate periodicals. He also has the distinction of being the former editor-in-chief of Maxim magazine in Serbia. Why he ever gave that job up, we’ll never know.

As quick with a smile as he is with a mouse, Darko wears many hats at East House. In addition to helping manage workflow and creative output, he’s always the first one to volunteer to supervise any and all modeling shoots. A truly selfless employee indeed.

Brand Experience: HP, Microsoft, Siemens, Adobe, Budget, Diners Club International, PIC Corp., GE Healthcare, McGraw-Hill, and more.

Teodora Astahova
Interactive/Print Project Manager

Teodora’s flamboyant and outgoing personality brightens our offices and turns even the toughest projects into a cheerful adventure. She brings a diverse experience in project management, marketing and graphic design. Her talents range across not only creative and design but also marketing and branding.

For over 10 years she worked in the trade show exhibit industry managing projects for some of the toughest clients — NBC, HBO, Sony, Nike, IBM, just to name a few.

With a major in Computer Science and minor in Advertising and Marketing from Sofia University (Europe) Teodora did not stop pursuing perfection — she continued to study marketing and branding in New York University, sharpening her focus on the strategic and business sides.

Meet our mascot

Manneken Pis - the mascot of the agency

Manneken Pis, or as he sometimes likes to be called, Petit Julien. He’s very popular in the city of Brussels, where you’ll run into him a lot.

Legend has it that sometime during the 14th century, Brussels came under siege by a foreign power. Fighting valiantly, the city held its ground for days on end. At one point, the attackers began placing explosives around the city walls. Fortunately, a small boy named Juliaanske happened to overhear their plans. Springing into action, he urinated on the burning fuse, thus saving the city.
